President’s Letter
CSI Greenville members and Upstate AEC community members,
It is such an honor to be serving as President of the CSI Greenville chapter this year and we are very excited for the opportunities and programing coming in 2025 that we hope our members and greater community can participate in and join us. We look forward to continuing to provide quality programming and social events while also increasing our partnerships with other organizations and members within the Upstate.
We are honored to be the host city this coming April for the CSI Southeast Regional conference and are looking forward to making connections with our fellow CSI members from across the southeast. We are also looking forward to showcasing our amazing downtown and our AEC community with some programing and social events.
Speaking of programming…our Board has been tasked with thinking outside the box for some unique programming and joining forces with some other organizations to provide some creative ways to connect with our AEC community and bridging students to the various levels of professionals within the field. We hope to increase our membership growth and provide additional mentorship and networking opportunities for all of our AEC community members.
This winter and spring we are partnering with AIA Greenville and SCNOMA and the Boys and Girls Club to jointly host the second PAWchitecture Design Build competition with funds raised towards the Greenville Humane Society. Design Build teams from around the area are working hard on pet house designs to be auctioned off in April and showcased at the Mutt Strutt this year. We are so excited for this competition and can’t wait to see all the creative pet houses that are constructed.
Through our partnerships and outreach we hope to continue to grow our membership throughout the Upstate and continue to work on ways to strengthen our presence throughout the region. We are working on connecting with the other local CSI chapters for some additional partnering efforts.
